I started skateboarding when I was about 8 years old. I was influenced by my brother Will who is two years older than me. I skated with him everyday. My brother and I built a quarter pipe with a friend and skated it everyday. As the years went on my brother got more and more into biking. He stopped skateboarding and so eventually so did I. At that time I was about 11. I skated every once in a while, but not all the time. About 3 or 4 years later, I started going to Gould Academy. When I got here the kids that I was hanging out with were talking about skating, so I asked them, “Do you guys skate?” And they said, yeah and then I wanted my mom to send my skateboard up to me. When I came to Gould I originally thought of playing lacrosse because I had played it all my life. But the more and more I skated I wanted to do the school skateboard team instead. So, eventually I did the skate team. I wasn't the best on the team, but I wasn't the worst. I love skating. It's fun, relaxing, and you can always learn new things.
