The Herman and Frieda Miller Foundation has awarded the CRC a grant worth $50,000 to be allocated to the skatepark project.
In addition, the Peter and Carolyn Lynch Foundation has awarded the CRC a $100,000 grant for the skatepark. $50,000 will be given immediately, while the other $50,000 will be provided in the form of a challenge grant, which stipulates that the CRC raise an additional $50,000 to match it.
Thirdly, an anonymous foundation has awarded the CRC a $110,000 challenge grant toward the planning and construction of the skatepark. A preliminary payment of $10,000 for design and planning has been given, and the additional $100,000 will be provided for construction once the remaining funds for the skatepark have been secured.
With this recent financial support, the CRC is excited to announce that the Charles River Skatepark fund has broken the $500,000 mark. Please make your donations now as we prepare our final push toward the campaign goal of $1.1 million.
